What is Sports Massage?
Sports massage, also known as sports massage, is a kind of massage method applied at certain intervals after or before sports for all professional athletes, aiming to accelerate blood flow and increase blood circulation, aiming to make the body fit, lively and energetic. It protects the body against muscle damage or possible injuries and helps to reduce body aches and pains that occur after training. 

What are Sports Massage Techniques?

Considering that each sports branch such as football, swimming, running, cycling, gymnastics, etc. exercises different muscle groups with different body exercises and develops the body in different directions, different methods and techniques are applied for each athlete to be applied with sports massage.

When considered as a whole, sports massage is based on stroking, kneading, percussion, friction and vibration techniques. In the patting technique, the body is relaxed and the area to be massaged is heated. In the patting technique, which is performed by using the whole hand and palm together with the fingers, the movements are applied towards the heart and continuity is of great importance. 

The kneading technique applied directly on the muscle aims to compress and stretch the muscles with slow, soft and rhythmic movements. The percussion technique, which is a stimulating massage manipulation on the muscles, consists of rhythmic strokes with the outer edge of the hands and aims to narrow and re-expand the vessels.

The friction technique, defined as point pressure, can be applied with the thumb, fingertips or the whole hand and is used to affect muscle tissues. Finally, vibration, or vibration technique, helps to relax the muscles and relax the body by applying pressure with the hand.
