Fuss Reflex Massage

Fuss Reflex Massage

In the application of reflexology massage, pressure is first applied to the feet and the patient's reactions are measured. In this way, the problematic areas on the patient's feet are identified and it is determined what kind of massage should be applied. There are points on the feet that send signals to every part of the body. With the massage applied to the feet, both the feet and the whole body are relaxed by sending signals to various parts of the body. Reflexology massage takes an average of 30 minutes.

What are reflexology points and areas?
In reflexology theory, the points and areas on the feet, hands and ears correspond to specific organs, bones and body systems. Practitioners massage the feet and hands (bottom, side and top) and the ear (both within reach of the finger and protruding outwards) to influence organs and systems throughout the entire body.
To show how the body systems correspond to each other, reflexologists use reflexology "maps". According to this map, each foot represents a vertical half of the body:
The left foot acts on the left side of the body and all the organs located there, the heart, etc.

The right foot corresponds to the right side of the body and all the organs located there. For example, the liver is on the right side of the body and therefore the corresponding signal field is on the right foot.
The reflexologist can focus on specific points on the feet, hands or ears to create a general or localized effect. For example, when time is limited and the person really needs to relax, the reflexologist may choose to work on the ears.

Regardless of the specific technique, the theory of reflexology is that reflexology massage is utilized to reduce congestion or stress in the practitioner's nervous system and balance the body's energy. How is reflexology practiced?

Reflexology Massage

In reflexology massage, each organ in the body corresponds to a nerve tissue in the foot. In order to improve the general health of the patient, these points on the foot are massaged and treated, including the internal organs.
The duration of reflexology massage varies between 30 and 45 minutes on average. In addition, since Reflexology massage is performed individually, it is applied differently to everyone. When planning the massage, the points to be applied are decided by taking into account the patient's age, type of disease, physical and psychological health of the patient.  How is reflexology massage done?
A good reflexology foot massage can help alleviate many symptoms such as headaches, insomnia, chronic fatigue, dizziness, as well as help treat the underlying cause of many internal diseases such as liver disease, kidney disease and heart disease. High blood pressure is also one of the problems treated with reflexology massage.

When proper reflexology techniques are used, you will have one of the most enjoyable experiences you can have. A proper foot massage is among the most powerful stress treatments. It is one of the best ways to relax the whole body.

There are some basic elements in a proper foot massage technique:

  • Hands and feet should be clean.
  • Massage should be applied with firm pressure to prevent tickling of the feet.
  • Massage should be applied to the right points to avoid causing pain.
  • Foot massage should start from the ankles.
  • All ligaments and nerves along the ankle should be loosened.
  • Then move on to the soles of the feet.
